BusinessNSW Award Categories

Outstanding Start Up

Entrants are required to demonstrate their commitment over the past 12 months to being an outstanding start-up. This category is open to new businesses trading for a period less than 24 months.

Employer of Choice

Entrants are required to demonstrate their achievements over the past 12 months across the key areas of employee recruitment, engagement and retention. Category criteria is based on initiatives that have had a positive impact on both the workforce and business.

Outstanding Employee

To be eligible to enter this category, the individual must have been employed by their current employer for a minimum of 18 months.

Goulburn’s Favourite Award Categories

You must be a resident of Goulburn Mulwaree Local Government Area (LGA) to nominate and/or vote for a business in the Goulburn’s Favourite award categories.

To be eligible for nomination, businesses must:

• Be located in the Goulburn Mulwaree LGA or conduct a significant amount of their business in Goulburn Mulwaree LGA
• Provide good or services that meet the description for each category (see Categories tab)

Businesses are not eligible to be nominated for a category that they sponsor.

The Chamber reserves the right to delete any nominations deemed non-eligible.

Businesses may be eligible for more than one category. There is no limit on how many categories a business may be nominated in, as long as they meet the definition of each category.

Nominations have now closed.

Voting is now open for the Goulburn’s Favourite People’s Choice Award. Voting will close midnight Tuesday 28 September.

BusinessNSW Award Categories

Judging will be conducted in accordance with BuinessNSW guidelines and the pre-assigned weightings for each category.

Judges for these three categories will be announced soon.

These are not popular choice categories and there will be no public voting in these categories.

The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Goulburn’s Favourite Award Categories

• Nominations will be open until midnight 12 September 2021
• Voting will open on Monday 13 September and close at midnight on Sunday 19 September 2021
• Voting will be conducted via an online voting platform
• Each person may only vote once per category. Duplicate votes will be discarded
• Finalists (top three businesses in each category) will be advised via email
• Finalists will automatically be entered into the People’s Choice Award
• Voting for the People’s Choice Award will run from Monday 20 – Sunday 26 September 2021

All award winners will be announced during the Awards Event on Saturday 9 October.
